Principle
This is a purely static website. It sets no cookies, embeds no external resources (fonts, maps, video platforms and scripts are all served from our own server) and uses no analytics or tracking services. No profiling takes place.
Server log files
When you open the site, your browser transmits technically necessary data which the hosting provider stores in log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- name and URL of the file retrieved
- volume of data transferred and confirmation of successful retrieval
- browser type and operating system
- the previously visited page (referrer), where transmitted
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website and in defending against attacks. The data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted automatically after a short period.
Hosting
The website is provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare operates a worldwide network of data centres; requests from Europe are normally answered within the EU. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place; it forms part of Cloudflare’s terms of service and incorporates the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Cloudflare is additionally certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The provider processes the log data listed above solely in order to deliver and secure the website.
Contacting us
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process your details solely in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required, subject to statutory retention periods.
External links
This website links to third-party sites (among others, museums and institutions in the “Our clients” section). We have no influence over their data processing. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of the respective site applies.
Your rights
You have the right at any time to:
- access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
